As we eagerly anticipate the Banff Conference this October, we understand that many of you are travelling significant distances to join us. To help you maximize your visit and immerse yourselves in the breathtaking beauty of the Canadian Rockies, my wife and I are thrilled to offer complimentary, casual 2-day pre-conference and 3-day post-conference tours.
Imagine arriving a little earlier or staying a few days longer to explore the stunning landscapes that surround Banff National Park. We’re passionate about this region and want to share its wonders with you in a relaxed and informal setting.
One of the gems we plan to visit is the magnificent Johnston Canyon. Picture yourself surrounded by vibrant autumn colours, hiking alongside rushing turquoise waters, and discovering impressive waterfalls – a stark and beautiful contrast to the winter scenes you might see on this website. Rest assured, October in Banff typically offers crisp, clear days perfect for exploring without the snow and ice.
Perhaps you’re wondering about the cost? We’re delighted to emphasize that these tours are offered free of charge (disbursements will be yours). This is our way of welcoming you and helping you make the most of your journey to Banff.
Our tours will be casual and flexible. We’ll meet at the conference hotel each day and then drive to the agreed-upon location. We will focus on soaking in the spectacular scenery, enjoying gentle hikes, and connecting with nature. While most sites are free to access, we might make optional stops for a warm beverage like hot chocolate or tea to enhance our experience.
